ASEAN Day Celebrated at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing

BEIJING, LELEMUKU.COM - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Deng Li together with Ambassador Djauhari and Ambassadors from ASEAN Member States attended the 55th ASEAN Day Commemoration at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing at August 8, 2022.
 

More than 80 guests participated in the ASEAN Flag Hoisting Ceremony, which was the main event of the Commemoration.
 
The Ceremony was held after the third meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Beijing, which for the next 6 months will be coordinated by the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing.
 
In his remarks, Ambassador Djauhari stated that “ASEAN has contributed to maintaining peace and prosperity in the region, and this commemoration reflects the hope that ASEAN can continue to contribute to realizing peace and prosperity in the region.
 
Together with China as one of its Dialogue Partners, we believe that ASEAN will continue to contribute to peace and prosperity not only in Asia, but also throughout the world.”
 

Several officials from the ASEAN – China Center (ACC), officials from Embassies of ASEAN Member States, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China who participated in the Commemoration also had the opportunity to enjoy authentic Indonesian cuisine served after the Flag-Raising Ceremony.
